RULES & PROCEDURES
Treat
others politely & with respect. Treat others as you would like them
to treat you.
Bring
textbook,
coloured pencils, writing implements, and file folder (3-ringed binder)
with you everyday. Come prepared to learn.
Treat
your school & personal property with respect
Follow
teacher requests
Please
dress appropriately, as mentioned in your handbook.
Speak
only if you think it
will benefit your or your classmate's education.
Follow
directions the first
time they are given to you.
Enter
and leave room
quietly.
No
name calling or
put-downs or profanity. Speak politely to others. Do not harass or
tease any one else.
Complete
homework & other assignments on time, as completely done as you
can. Make a good effort at your work & request help when you need
it. Take responsibility for missed work.
Come
to class on time, and be in your seat when the first bell rings. Work
on warm-ups after the
second bell rings.
Make
the best effort at your work -- put your best foot forward always.
Positively
participate. Not
just when you are called upon by your teacher.
Do
not behave in a way that would disrupt education in the class
Turn
off cellphones & do not
chew gum in class. Water is allowed. No other edibles are permitted.
Raise
your hand when you
have a question or want to answer
Take
a pass with you when you
go to the rest room; 1 person at a time
Be
quiet when the teacher is
speaking or if a fellow classmate is raising a question or providing an
answer.
Review
your notes if you
finish your work early
Tardies:
absent from class less than half the period. If you are not in the rom
when the bell rings and do not have a pass in hand, you will be
considered tardy.. A 20-minute detention will be assigned for each
tardy.
You
are all bright, capable &
responsible people. You are all capable of bringing name, fame and
glory to your family, your school, the community, and the nation. We
expect great things of you.

Disciplinary action will follow 5 steps
sequentially: (1) Nonverbal cue. (2) Verbal cue & first warning.
(3) Final warning & indicate the choice the student is making. (4)
Student moves to a designated area of the class to work on a plan. (5)
Student goes somewhere else (Principal's office) to develop a plan.
