Well come to my resume page. Here, I am presenting my resume to help you gain a brief summary of my accomplishments and achievements in my previous education and work experience.

1983–1985: Addis Ababa University (AAU), BSc in Biology with a minor in chemistry.

 Teaching, Research, and Mentoring Experience

1. I taught biology in grades 9-12 in Ginchi High School in Ethiopia for 2 years. I was an organizer of the question and answer program for grade 8 students who were preparing for the national examination. I also served  as a Department Head of Biology. My responsibilty was to check on the lesson plans of other biology teachers to make sure that the plan was adequate and was in line with the curriculum. I contributed in the action research that strengthened the development of the school.

In ILRI, I:

2. assisted in the training and mentoring of technical staff and graduate students, and staff from national agricultural research systems.

3. assisted students from universities, colleges and high schools, so that they acquire adequate information in our different research areas, when they came as visitors.

4.  was involved in various laboratory activities- Plant in vitro culture, isolation of Rhizobial bacteria from nodules, Isozyme electrophoresis to determine plant mating systems, Phytochemistry, that involved forage plants leaf sample collection and extraction of secondary compounds and chromatogram analysis using High Performance Liquid Chromatogaphy (HPLC), spectral data collection using Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and data analysis. 

5. worked as a consultant for International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI), located in Rome, Italy, on database construction of plant reproductive biology parameters (breeding systems) of agriculturally important species for 5 months.

Computer Skills: working knowledge of Word processing, Spread sheet (Excel), PowerPoint, and website design.
