Visiting a Stream Near Woodson High School Students were taken to a stream near Woodson high school in Fairfax, Virginia. The objective of this visit was to help them observe some real characteristics of ecological systems. Brief introduction was given to the surrounding environment and discussed on the interdependence of abiotic and biotic factors. They were able to see examples of climax community, main river and its tributaries and standing and flowing water.
