ADVENTURE SPORT SCRAPBOOK
NEW ZEALAND - COMMENTS

For six weeks during February and March, 2002 fourteen students cycled, surfed, sailed, sea-kayaked, hiked and rafted their way throught the north half of the south island of New Zealand. The following are comments by the students who attended this course on "Leadership In Adventure Sport".

If I had to sum it up in one word it would have to be “fabulous.” It was the most challenging thing I’ve ever set out to do, and there were times that I didn’t think I could live through a hill, but it was the most fabulous journey one could hope to experience. I’ve climbed mountains. I can do anything now, anything at all. M.

Words simply can’t describe how incredible this trip was. I had the best time of my life and learned so much about myself through this experience. We were an awesome group of people, which made every minute of the trip so much fun. E.

“ Only when you reach the top of a two-hour hill, and are looking out over an ocean, and can honestly say you have given that mountain every last ounce of energy and blood and sweat that is in you, only then will you have any idea what those six weeks were like.” K

Damn I wish I had been there. C.

This trip was amazing! It was inspiring and made a huge impact on my life. So much that I wear my bike shorts every single day to school. W.

I had the best time of my life! My whole experience made me grow into a bigger, better, badder woman. N.

The trip to New Zealand was like a passage into manhood. I think I actually grew some chest hair. B.

MMMMMMM. . . . . . . cookietime? S.

I feel . . .tonight I’m feeling . . .um, today I felt like a tiger. “Grrr”! N.
